NOR018: Forceps – heaven is a place on hell

‘heaven is a place on hell’ is the mind-melting debut of Spanish ensemble Forceps. Saxophone monster Polychronidis (of Skullfuck fame) mangles his saxophone and will not stop playing until you cry and Jaula’s abstract noise guitar will make you get to that point quickly. ‘heaven is a place on hell’ is an arousing affair that is both noisy and tender. Spain is truly the place these days!

NOR017: Colin Webster / Andrew Lisle – Void Into Shape

These two heavy hitters of the European improv scene should not be strangers to Norwegianism Records afficionados. ‘Void Into Shape’ is another convincing example of their abililty to sound extremely abstract without immediately alienating the listener. Be prepared to have your mind warped into another dimension.
